What do I get when I sign up at ZiTenga?
If you are Zimbabwean, upon signup you receive 250 ZASH. If you are from Zimbabwe but are outside of the country, contacting our support team with proof of Zimbabwean citizenship the 250 ZASH will still be allocated. If you are not from Zimbabwe signing up will simply give you an empty ZiTenga wallet which can still transact with users.
How can I use ZASH?
Currently in co-operation with Blitz, the ZASH auction platform, users can list goods as well as participate in auctions using ZASH.
Can I exchange ZASH for US dollars.
- ZiTenga does not provide any guarantees related to people being able to buy or sell their ZASH.
- The Blitz.co.zw platform intends to allow people to auction sell their ZASH that they have received from selling their goods on the Blitz site.
How do I get more ZASH
- Refer others
- Get others in your community to send you their ZASH
- Put goods on the auction platform and get people to bid in ZASH
- The auction platform will, in due time, allow users to purchase ZASH in exchange for USD.
What products can I get with ZASH?
We do not guarantee a market for ZASH, but the auction platform enables users to bid for goods and services with their ZASH.
Is this different from bitcoin?
They are similar, ZASH is designed for day-to-day transactions for Zimbabweans, while bitcoin is primarily designed as a store of value worldwide. ZASH is capable of being a store of value that is globally recognized while solving problems Zimbabwe is facing.
How will people without internet connections or phones use ZASH
Currently this is available for people who have access to a smart phone, an internet connection and a Zimbabwean ID.
What if I don’t have a Zimbabwean ID but I am from Zimbabwe.
We unfortunately can’t accept any users who do not have a valid form of ID. You can use a Zimbabwean ID (including a metal ID), a passport and a government issued Zimbabwean driver’s license.
How do I make money from ZASH.
Our goal is not to help people make money from ZASH but to solve some of the fundamental problems that people have in day-to-day trade.

Yes, there is an Android app and a Huawei app available. We are working on an iPhone app.

What if I forget my ZASH wallet password?

I don’t want my ZASH to be restricted on the new system, Can I have my old ZASH?
Yes you can have your ZASH back unrestricted on the old system but you can’t use the new system in the ZiTenga wallet. The old ZASH will have to be held in your own wallet, reach out to help desk for help after you have made a Tron wallet yourself, we will remove your new ZASH and assign your old ZASH, you will be required to sign a document to agree because your old ZASH will not be usable in the new system.

What is ZiTenga?
ZiTenga is a virtual asset service provider in Zimbabwe that enables people to acquire, hold and transact in a blockchain token called ZASH.
What problem is ZASH trying to solve?
ZASH is a digital movement in Zimbabwe that aims to integrate the country back into global commerce, and to fix the problem of a USD cash-based economy.
What is ZASH?

What was ZiTenga previously called?
Previously, the ZiTenga team were working on a project called ZIMBOCASH, which focused on creating a decentralized blockchain solution for Zimbabwe. ZiTenga as the wallet solution, and ZASH as the blockchain solution is the evolution of this vision.
How does ZASH work?

When was the project founded?
The broader project started in early February 2018. The current version of the ZASH blockchain and the ZiTenga wallet was launched in February 2025.

How is ZASH different from Bitcoin?
While both are cryptocurrencies, ZASH is specifically designed to address the needs of the Zimbabwean market and focuses on stability and everyday use. We believe that ZASH is the “Bitcoin of Zimbabwe”.

How does ZiTenga plan to make ZASH accessible to people in rural areas with limited internet access?
ZiTenga and ZASH are digital solutions that require access to the internet. ZiTenga is already trying to solve a fundamental problem in the financial space and is not going to be solving Zimbabwe’s internet connectivity issue any time soon. However, ZiTenga will look to partner with various providers, and we note that Starlink is increasingly becoming a feature in Zimbabwe and is now licensed. This should provide increasing opportunities for people to have access to the internet, and therefore to ZiTenga’s app.
Can I use ZASH to send money to someone in another country?
ZASH is not a formal currency so no, you won’t be able to send money outside of the country using ZiTenga or ZASH.
