ZiTenga Markets is the premier market for people to buy and sell products with ZASH. Our platform is divided into two unique marketplaces:

  • - Sell and buy goods in exchange for ZASH,
  • - Sell and buy ZASH in exchange for USD.

ZiTenga Pay is a digital wallet used to manage your ZASH balance and withdrawals.

How do I sign up for ZiTenga Markets?

To use ZiTenga Markets, you must first create a ZiTenga Pay account at https://wallet.zitenga.com/register Then, log in to ZiTenga Markets using your ZiTenga Pay credentials to link your ZASH wallet.

Do I get ZASH when I sign up?

If you are a Zimbabwean citizen with a valid Zim ID you can get up to 150 ZASH when you sign up and verify yourself on the ZiTenga Pay app, Of this 150 ZASH, you can only use 50 ZASH per month with conditions. People who are not from Zimbabwe will not receive any sign up reward. For more details, check out pay.zitenga.com/help-centre

Are there any conditions for my free 150 ZASH?

Yes, you receive 50 ZASH every month of 100 ZASH and to receive the final 50 free ZASH of the 150 free ZASH in the third month, you must publish an item for auction on the ZiTenga Markets platform.

What if I had ZASH before ZiTenga Pay and ZiTenga Markets?

For the integrity of the ZASH value the ZASH from the old outdated model is “locked” and to “unlock” this ZASH you must publish items for auction on the ZiTenga Markets platform to unlock this ZASH at a rate of 50 ZASH per month

To participate, you need a ZiTenga Pay account. Here's how:

  • Create a ZiTenga Pay Account at wallet.zitenga.com/register: Register on the ZiTenga Pay app and verify your ID
  • Login to ZiTenga Markets: Go to www.zitenga.com and sign in with your ZiTenga Pay login details. This links your ZASH wallet to your ZiTenga Markets account.
  • You will need to transfer ZASH into your ZiTenga Markets Account to start bidding. You can top up or withdraw ZASH from your ZiTenga Markets wallet.

You can use your ZASH to bid on a variety of products. Here's how bidding works:

  • Place a Bid: Select a product and bid using ZASH from your ZiTenga Markets wallet. For example, if you bid 50 ZASH on an item, those 50 ZASH will be frozen in your wallet.
  • Ongoing bidding: You might get outbid, in which case your bid ZASH will become unfrozen. If you have sufficient ZASH funds, you can increase your bid.

What happens to my ZASH when I place a bid?

When you bid, the ZASH is frozen in your ZiTenga Markets wallet and cannot be used for other bids or withdrawals until the auction concludes. If you’re outbid or win, the ZASH is either returned or transferred to the Seller.

How do I know if my bid was successful?

You’ll receive a notification via the ZiTenga Markets platform when the auction ends, confirming if you’ve won. We will then reach out to you via email or WhatsApp to arrange for pickup of your product. If successful, you’ll also receive a unique pickup code for collecting your item.

Can I cancel a bid or item listing?

Bids cannot be canceled once placed, as they are binding commitments. For sellers, once a bid has been made on your listing, you won’t be able to withdraw it. You can reduce the time for the expiry of the auction, but not increase it.

How do I get more ZASH?

You can acquire ZASH by:

  • Asking others to pay you in ZASH
  • You get more ZASH when you refer others – up to 25 ZASH per referral.
  • Check back for details regarding the USD for ZASH Marketplace.
  • You can list products on ZiTenga Markets and ZASH from winning bids.

Can I list products on ZiTenga Markets?

Yes, you can apply to become a Seller. Once approved you will be able to list goods for auction.

What types of items can I list on ZiTenga Markets?

You can list a variety of goods (e.g., electronics, clothing, household items) if they are legal, in good condition, and meet ZiTenga Markets’ listing guidelines.

What if my item is rejected at the depot?

If your item doesn’t match the listing description or fails inspection (e.g., damaged or prohibited), depot staff will inform you and return the item. You can revise the listing or item condition and reschedule a drop-off.

How long does it take for my item to go live in an auction?

After depot staff verify your item, it typically goes within one working day, depending on the existing schedule of products on the marketplace. You’ll be notified when the auction starts.

Can I ship items instead of using the Harare depot?

Currently, all items must be submitted and collected at the Harare depot. Shipping options are not available but may be considered in the future.

What happens if I don’t pick up my won item?

If you don’t pick up your item within 1 month of winning, the item may be relisted, and your ZASH will remain with the Seller. Contact support to arrange for an extension if necessary.

Are there fees for using the Harare depot?

At this stage, there are no additional fees for dropping off or picking up items at the Harare depot, though standard ZASH transaction fees may apply for auction activities.

Any Zimbabwean who lives in Zimbabwe who has a ZiTenga Pay account can use ZiTenga Markets. Zimbabweans with a valid ID may register at ZiTenga Markets.
