To participate, you need a ZiTenga account. Here's how:
- Create a ZiTenga Account at zitenga.com/register: Register on the ZiTenga app and verify your ID
- Login to ZiTenga Markets: Go to ZiTenga.co.zw/login and sign in with your ZiTenga login details. This links your ZASH wallet to your ZiTenga Markets account.
- You will need to transfer ZASH into your ZiTenga Account to start bidding. You can top up or withdraw ZASH from your ZiTenga Markets wallet.
You can use your ZASH to bid on a variety of products. Here's how bidding works:
- Place a Bid: Select a product and bid using ZASH from your ZiTenga Markets wallet. For example, if you bid 50 ZASH on an item, those 50 ZASH will be frozen in your wallet.
- Ongoing bidding: You might get outbid, in which case your bid ZASH will become unfrozen. If you have sufficient ZASH funds, you can increase your bid.
When you bid, the ZASH is frozen in your ZiTenga Markets wallet and cannot be used for other bids or withdrawals until the auction concludes. If you’re outbid or win, the ZASH is either returned or transferred to the Seller.
You’ll receive a notification via the ZiTenga Markets platform when the auction ends, confirming if you’ve won. We will then reach out to you via email or whatsapp to arrange for pickup of your product. If successful, you’ll also receive a unique pickup code for collecting your item.
Bids cannot be canceled once placed, as they are binding commitments. For sellers, once a bid has been made on your listing, you won’t be able to withdraw it. You can reduce the time for the expiry of the auction, but not increase it.
You can acquire ZASH by:
- Asking others to pay you in ZASH
- You get more ZASH when you refer others – up to 25 ZASH per referral.
- Check back for details regarding the USD for ZASH Marketplace.
- You can list products on ZiTenga Markets and earning ZASH from winning bids.
Yes, you can apply to become a Seller. Once approved you will be able to list goods for auction.
You can list a variety of goods (e.g., electronics, clothing, household items) if they are legal, in good condition, and meet ZiTenga Markets’ listing guidelines.
If your item doesn’t match the listing description or fails inspection (e.g., damaged or prohibited), depot staff will inform you and return the item. You can revise the listing or item condition and reschedule a drop-off.
After depot staff verify your item, it typically goes within one working day, depending on the existing schedule of products on the marketplace. You’ll be notified when the auction starts.
Currently, all items must be submitted and collected at the Harare depot. Shipping options are not available but may be considered in the future.
If you don’t pick up your item within 1 month of winning, the item may be relisted, and your ZASH will remain with the Seller. Contact support to arrange for an extension if necessary.
At this stage, there are no additional fees for dropping off or picking up items at the Harare depot, though standard ZASH transaction fees may apply for auction activities.
